Mixing Prints: Floral Blazer & Polka Dot Shorts

Here is my first outfit post in over a week!  I feel like it has been a really long time, anyway I was having issues with my laptop, it feels good to have my laptop working again.   I was starting to feel a little stressed out about it. I am just glad to be back to my blogging something I really enjoy doing.
Today I am wearing a floral blazer I found at a thrift store, I have had it since last year and never found the right outfit to wear it with.  I decided to wear it with my blue polka dot shorts from JustFab, they are very short, but they came cuffed so I decided to uncuff them to add a little length to them.  Do you like the new trend of mixing prints together in an outfit?
Blazer: Thrift Store $1
Peplum blouse: Walmart $9.98
Shorts: JustFab $24.99
Purse: Green Icon JustFab $39.99
Shoes: Marco Santi Flats
Isn't green JustFab Icon bag gorgeous?  It really is an amazing quality bag, and it looks really expensive!  I am still aticipating the mint Icon bag, I cannot wait to add that one to my collection.

Inspired: Monochromatic Shades of Mint

Today's Style Me Friday was inspired by Living In Color Print.  When Ebony posted the challenge of the week on Monday monochromatic, I thought this will be easy I will do all white!  I was wrong she challenged us not to do an all white or all black look.  I played around and took out my favorite pieces in my closet, I had a lot of mint and aqua tones in my closet.

I had never worn the same color from  head to toe before, but this has been a look I have been wanting to try for a while now.  I like how it looks together,  my shirt has some aqua tones to it, and my skirt has more mint tones to it.  I like the gold studs on my purse, it adds just a pop of color to the outfit.  Would you wear a monochromatic look?

Bracelet: Rue 21 $5.95
Top: Rue 21 $12
Skirt: Charlotte Russe $2.99
Clutch: Moxie from JustFab $39.99
Shoes: Kali from Shoedazzle $39.99

Moxie is such a great clutch, it comes with a strap so you can use it as a cross body bag or over your shoulder as well.  I love the gold studs details on this clutch.  This bag is also available in a neon-coral color and a nude.  If you would like to purchase this bag use my link to get it for only $19.99 when you sign up using my link

Kali is a pretty pointed toe heel with studs all over it.  It is a mint heel with aqua and green tones.  I find it  very comfortable and the heel is not to high, if you have wide feet I recommend going up half a size.  Otherwise you should order these true to size.  Use my link to sign up and get 20% off your first purchase!

Prabal Gurung Peplum Top

I really liked almost all of the collection that Prabal Gurung designed for Target.  I ended up getting quite a few pieces from his collection, not all at once, but as they started to go on sale I kept adding more and more to my wardrobe.  I found this super cute peplum top from his collection, and although it is a size to big I decided I really wanted it.  I believe I found it for $15 on clearance.  I really love all the pretty bright flowers, it just screams Spring in here!

I really love my neon yellow Aveiro shoes from JustFab, ordinarily I do not go for sandals like these, but they are actually really comfortable.  The front strap keeps my toes from sliding forward which is one of the things I look for in a shoe this style.  I decided to go up .5 a size to give me more room in my toes in  case my feet decide to slide forward a little.  They have these in this pretty yellow neon color with the snakeskin in the back, and a pretty coral neon color which I must add to my collection.

Top: Prabal Gurung for Target $15
Necklace: Block Party JustFab gift
Purse: Impresario JustFab $25
Skirt: Forever 21
Heels: Aviero JustFab $39.99

One of my favorite JustFab bags is Impresario, I cannot believe it hasn't sold out online yet!  It is just such a cute bag!  I love that it is made a patent faux leather, it has a really cute feminine bow in the front and some gold spikes to add some edginess.  It has a really pretty gold chain to go over your shoulders.  Did I mention that it looks so much like a  LV bag?  This bag is only $39.99, and is also available in a deep purple plum color.

Review: JustFab Pink Polka Dot Jeans

Happy Monday!  Here is a very quick outfit post on some really cute jeans I was sent to review from JustFab.  One of the many perks of being in the Brand Ambassador program is that you get to try out some of the new items in exchange for a review.  I ordered a size 32 and can wear either size 12-14 depending on the style of the jeans.  I think I could have ordered down a size since they stretched out after wearing them for a little bit.  I will have to wash these and leave them a little extra time in the dryer in hopes of shrinking them a bit.  The really like the quality of these jeans, the material is not too thin.  I ordered the floral jeans and the blue dust skinny's, I should be getting those this week.

Blazer: Candie's Kohl's
Shirt: Burlington Coat Factory
Jeans: C/O JustFab
Shoes: Iron Fist Sweets for my Sweet JustFab

From Day To Night: The Peplum Top

I am extremely excited to be doing a blog collaboration with 3 beautiful and talented bloggers.  I have known Kat from Katy009 Fashion Agent and Chanda from Birth of a Fashion Blogger for a couple years now.  We met through our LOVE and obsession with shoes and shoe clubs such as Shoedazzle and Justfab.  I recently met the lovely Raliat from The Fashion Fanatic who also enjoys fashion and shoes.  I admire all of these lovely ladies, and it was truly an honor to work with them.

We wanted to show you how to wear a peplum top from day to night.  Peplum is a big trend, you see them on shirts, jackets, skirts, and dresses.  Chanda and I styled our peplum tops for a casual day look, while Kat and Raliat styled their tops for a fun night look.   I was squinting, the Arizona sun burns your eyes!  Anyway this picture is by 4 yr old son Mike.  I think he is a pretty good photographer especially for his age.  I payed him with a doughnut so he is pretty affordable in case anyone is interested, hehe.

Blazer: Goodwill $1
Peplum lace top: Walmart $9
Necklace: H&M $3
Jeans: Wet Seal $9

Casual Pencil Skirt: Floral and Pastels

Happy Friday!  I am linking up with Ebony for "Style Me Friday".  Today's inspiration was to use a pencil skirt and make it look casual.  I purchased this pencil skirt at NY&CO last year and never wore it.  I immediately thought of this skirt when I saw what our challenge was for this week.  I could never quite figure out what to wear my skirt with since it was so bright and colorful.  Good thing that floral  prints are a big trend right now.  I think this would be work appropriate without being to stuffy, I would also  wear this look to church.

Jacket: Goodwill $1
Peplum top: Walmart $9.98
Skirt: NY&CO $10
Purse: Bombshell from JustFab $39.99
Shoes: Rosalind in Lavender $39.99

Luichiny Review & Giveaway

I was contacted to do a review on a pair of shoes for www.demandshoes.com, and of course like the shoe collector that I am I jumped at the opportunity.  One of the perks of being a blogger is you get to review items you enjoy and blog about them!   I had a hard time choosing a pair of shoes, there are so many on the website that I like, but I finally chose Cassi Dee in black.  This wedge is so perfect for Spring and Summer, not only is it extremely comfortable since it is a wedge, but I just love the studs on the ankle strap.  You can wear them with so many things from summer dresses, to shorts, skirts, even some boyfriend jeans.

I would say that these shoes are tts, however since I have a wide foot I went up half a size to give my toes some room.  I hate for my toes to touch the front of the shoes.  These shoes are faux suede material, and they can be easily wiped off if they get dirty.

I decided to wear a plain black t-shirt that I purchased at H&M for $5, my skirt if from the Candie's collection at Kohl's, my Betsey Johnson studded clutch is from Plato's Closet $9, and my lovely wedges are compliments of www.demandshoes.com.

Now for the fun part!  The giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.  Make sure you are following my blog, then head on over to this website www.demandshoes.com  and comment below which shoes are your favorite and why.  The winner will  receive a pair of shoes just like the one's I am wearing in this review.  The giveaway ends midnight on Sunday April 21, I will choose and announce the winner on Monday April 22.

Eva Longoria Inspires: Stripes & Distressed Jeans

Happy Friday!  I am linking up with Ebony from The Fashionista Next Door again today.  She chose another look by Eva Longoria, and I was happy because I love Eva!  The look is inspired by a striped shirt and boyfriends jeans.  I don't have any boyfriend jeans so I used what I had.  I found my top last year at Rue 21 $12, my jeans are from Target $10, my bag is from H&M $3, and my Prabal Gurung Sandals are from Target $19.99.  This was a really fun and casual look I loved putting this looks together, the only color in my outfit are my red lips.

A touch of Neon

Nothing fancy, just a quick outfit post.  I participated in Jessica's monthly challenge from Jessica Fashion Notes, this month the challenge was to wear neon in an outfit.  I was having a bit of a challenge with the pictures coming out good, the skirt does not look neon in the pictures.  I also had the challenge of posting my very first outfit video on youtube in Spanish.  I do speak Spanish, but I don't speak it very often so it was very hard for me to do this.

I ended up having to use my ipad to record the video, so I was pretty frustrated to say the least.  I do plan to participate in the future monthly challenges on her blog, but I definitely need to practice my Spanish and figure out how to make better videos for the next one.  I am so glad tomorrow is already going to be Friday, I am really looking forward to the weekend.  I really had a very long and frustrating week.  Next week has to be a better week.

Make sure to visit Walking in Memphis in Heels for the link up and some great black and orange looks for Halloween.

Bracelet: Charlotte Russe $5
Shirt: H&M $5
Skirt & Belt: Charlotte Russe $2.99
Purse: Bombshell from JustFab
Shoes: Amy from Shoedazzle

This is a close up look of the skirt, and it still does not look neon in this picture but I promise it is a neon coral color.
