From Day To Night: The Peplum Top

I am extremely excited to be doing a blog collaboration with 3 beautiful and talented bloggers.  I have known Kat from Katy009 Fashion Agent and Chanda from Birth of a Fashion Blogger for a couple years now.  We met through our LOVE and obsession with shoes and shoe clubs such as Shoedazzle and Justfab.  I recently met the lovely Raliat from The Fashion Fanatic who also enjoys fashion and shoes.  I admire all of these lovely ladies, and it was truly an honor to work with them.

We wanted to show you how to wear a peplum top from day to night.  Peplum is a big trend, you see them on shirts, jackets, skirts, and dresses.  Chanda and I styled our peplum tops for a casual day look, while Kat and Raliat styled their tops for a fun night look.   I was squinting, the Arizona sun burns your eyes!  Anyway this picture is by 4 yr old son Mike.  I think he is a pretty good photographer especially for his age.  I payed him with a doughnut so he is pretty affordable in case anyone is interested, hehe.

Casual Pencil Skirt: Floral and Pastels

Happy Friday!  I am linking up with Ebony for "Style Me Friday".  Today's inspiration was to use a pencil skirt and make it look casual.  I purchased this pencil skirt at NY&CO last year and never wore it.  I immediately thought of this skirt when I saw what our challenge was for this week.  I could never quite figure out what to wear my skirt with since it was so bright and colorful.  Good thing that floral  prints are a big trend right now.  I think this would be work appropriate without being to stuffy, I would also  wear this look to church.

Jacket: Goodwill $1
Peplum top: Walmart $9.98
Skirt: NY&CO $10
Purse: Bombshell from JustFab $39.99
Shoes: Rosalind in Lavender $39.99

Luichiny Review & Giveaway

I was contacted to do a review on a pair of shoes for www.demandshoes.com, and of course like the shoe collector that I am I jumped at the opportunity.  One of the perks of being a blogger is you get to review items you enjoy and blog about them!   I had a hard time choosing a pair of shoes, there are so many on the website that I like, but I finally chose Cassi Dee in black.  This wedge is so perfect for Spring and Summer, not only is it extremely comfortable since it is a wedge, but I just love the studs on the ankle strap.  You can wear them with so many things from summer dresses, to shorts, skirts, even some boyfriend jeans.

I would say that these shoes are tts, however since I have a wide foot I went up half a size to give my toes some room.  I hate for my toes to touch the front of the shoes.  These shoes are faux suede material, and they can be easily wiped off if they get dirty.

I decided to wear a plain black t-shirt that I purchased at H&M for $5, my skirt if from the Candie's collection at Kohl's, my Betsey Johnson studded clutch is from Plato's Closet $9, and my lovely wedges are compliments of www.demandshoes.com.

Now for the fun part!  The giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.  Make sure you are following my blog, then head on over to this website www.demandshoes.com  and comment below which shoes are your favorite and why.  The winner will  receive a pair of shoes just like the one's I am wearing in this review.  The giveaway ends midnight on Sunday April 21, I will choose and announce the winner on Monday April 22.

Eva Longoria Inspires: Stripes & Distressed Jeans

Happy Friday!  I am linking up with Ebony from The Fashionista Next Door again today.  She chose another look by Eva Longoria, and I was happy because I love Eva!  The look is inspired by a striped shirt and boyfriends jeans.  I don't have any boyfriend jeans so I used what I had.  I found my top last year at Rue 21 $12, my jeans are from Target $10, my bag is from H&M $3, and my Prabal Gurung Sandals are from Target $19.99.  This was a really fun and casual look I loved putting this looks together, the only color in my outfit are my red lips.

A touch of Neon

Nothing fancy, just a quick outfit post.  I participated in Jessica's monthly challenge from Jessica Fashion Notes, this month the challenge was to wear neon in an outfit.  I was having a bit of a challenge with the pictures coming out good, the skirt does not look neon in the pictures.  I also had the challenge of posting my very first outfit video on youtube in Spanish.  I do speak Spanish, but I don't speak it very often so it was very hard for me to do this.

I ended up having to use my ipad to record the video, so I was pretty frustrated to say the least.  I do plan to participate in the future monthly challenges on her blog, but I definitely need to practice my Spanish and figure out how to make better videos for the next one.  I am so glad tomorrow is already going to be Friday, I am really looking forward to the weekend.  I really had a very long and frustrating week.  Next week has to be a better week.

Make sure to visit Walking in Memphis in Heels for the link up and some great black and orange looks for Halloween.

Bracelet: Charlotte Russe $5
Shirt: H&M $5
Skirt & Belt: Charlotte Russe $2.99
Purse: Bombshell from JustFab
Shoes: Amy from Shoedazzle

This is a close up look of the skirt, and it still does not look neon in this picture but I promise it is a neon coral color.
