Roadtrip: Scion IA & Scion IM

Last week 4 Phoenix Latina Bloggers and I had the opportunity to drive the Scion IA and Scion IM to Long Beach California for the We ALL Grow Summit.  I rode in the red Scion IM briefly, it is slightly smaller than the Scion IA.  I also rode and got to help drive the Scion IA, and loved it!  The blue color of the car is so pretty.  It was so easy to drive, and very fuel efficient.  We gassed up once each way.  The car is very roomy on the inside.

Being that my very first car at 16 was a Toyota Tercel which I loved so much, and then I later transitioned into a Toyota Camry to fit the needs of my family, I am a big fan of Toyota.  They are very reliable, well made, fuel efficient cars.  I have a 13 going on 14 year old son, and already I am thinking about what kind of car I would like to get for him when he starts driving.  I think this would be the perfect car for him, safe, affordable, fuel efficient, and sporty.

I would like to thank Scion and Toyota for sponsoring us and letting us use these two cars for out trip.  I look forward to working with them in the future!

Hello Kitty Cafe & DIY Picture Box

I was so excited when I found out that the Hello Kitty CafĂ© was going to be here in Scottsdale Arizona.  I absolutely love Hello Kitty, I guess I am a kid at heart.  I knew that we would have to wait in a long line, so I pre-warned my twos girls that it would be like standing in line for a ride at Disneyland.  A two hour wait, for a two minute experience.  We didn't care either way we were excited and determined to go.

We waited in line for about 2 hours.  Luckily there was a splash pad in the middle, so my kids played while I waited in line.  It wasn't too hot, so I am very grateful for that.  It was supposed to be there from 9-8pm.  We arrived a little after 5pm, and some of the items had already sold out.  I really was looking forward to trying the Macaroons, but we were too late.

It was worth waiting in line for 2 hrs, the pink Hello Kitty Mercedes van is super cute.  Complete with bows on the rims of the tires.  It's like a pink Hello Kitty dream.  I purchased a couple boxes of cookies, and some cute bow shaped water bottles that we have been refilling with water and reusing of course!  .

I wanted to share a quick DIY with you.  The boxes that the cookies came in were too cute to throw away, so I made a little picture box.  I used supplies I had laying around at home, an earring, some lavender potpourri, and a picture.  Hope you enjoyed my DIY and post!  Please don't forget to SUBSCRIBE and follow me.

Pastels & Florals

One of the biggest trends you will be seeing this Spring are pastels and floral prints.  I love floral prints!  This Ian purse and Mickey heels from Justfab are so perfect for this trend.  You can be matchy matchy like me and get the matching heels and purse, or just add one of these to your outfit.  These are very eyecatching accessories that will complete your outfit, and make you stand out.  What trend are you looking forward to try this Spring?

Welcome 2015

Welcome 2015, starting a new year always gets me excited.  It's a fresh start, if you missed anything the year before you have a new opportunity to do better this year.    I didn't get to blog enough, I really missed it!  My blog is a place I can come to and share my thoughts, my fashion, my anything.  I'm no one special, but if I can inspire, or help anyone in any way then that makes me happy.

Fur is one of the biggest fashion trends right now.  I love my faux fur vest that I got from JustFab, great price, and great value.  My JustFab boots are from last season, but I still love them.  They are the perfect heel height, very comfortable to walk in.

What are you looking forward to this new year?  Have a fabulous weekend!

Hugs & Blessings

Cox Gig Life: DIY Lego Party

This is part of a sponsored campaign with Being Latino and Cox Communications.  However, all opinions expressed are my own.

I love how fast and easy it was to update my FREE Cox WiFi!  The only thing we needed to do since we were already a Cox internet subscriber, was reset the modem and just like that my family and I were able to do so much more with double the speed.  Now we can connect our 9 devices to the fastest WiFi without a problem.  Make Sure to check out Cox's Tumblr Page and their Facebook Page.

I had such an amazing time co-hosting my first Twitter Party, and I am very grateful to Cox for giving me the opportunity to work with them.

With all the time I have saved, it's given me time to work on planning my son David's 12th Birthday.  I love to DIY and make stuff myself, but as you can guess with 4 kids, a husband, school, homework, it can be a little tough but with a little bit of extra time you would be surprised how much you can do!  My son loves Lego's, most of the stores that sell party stuff do now carry any Lego party items.  Of course this means I get to do most of the stuff from scratch.  I have already worked on the Lego block Pinata, and the pin the head on the Lego guy.

I still have a few more things to get done before the party this Sunday, and since it is a surprise party it is a little bit of a challenge, but not impossible.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and please don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to my blog!
